The nutrients we consume daily play a vital role in establishing and maintaining optimal health. Endocannabinoids are the compounds that our body makes and uses as chemical messengers to activate our Endocannabinoid System. When our bodies do not make enough, we become nutrient deficient. In order to replenish and maintain our ECS finely tuned we must supplement our body’s endocannabinoids with compounds found in nature, such as phytocannabinoids or simply cannabinoids.
One of the most important cannabinoids that helps our Endocannabinoid System establish homeostasis is Cannabidiol (CBD). Cannabidiol used in VEDA ECN is derived from the industrial hemp plant . CBD is known to provide some of the medical benefits of marijuana without the psychoactive portion (THC*).
Adding ECN, rich in quality cannabidiol, to your daily nutrient intake will enhance your body’s natural ability to heal and function properly, which will result in an overall healthier state.
The term “endo” is short for endogenous, meaning originating or produced within an organism, tissue or cell. Cannabinoid refers to the group of compounds that activate this particular system.
Our Endocannabinoid System (ECS)is a sensitive, highly tuned physiologic infrastructure designed to maintain balance at a cellular level and is responsible for regulating all of the basic functions and patterns in our body, including: Mood, Sleep, Appetite, Metabolism, Pain, Memory, Immune Function, Inflammation, Neuroprotection and development, Healthy Cell growth, Digestion, Reproduction.
While our ECS may serve different functions in different tissues, the overall goal of the entire endocannabinoid system is to maintain homeostasis, which is defined as the body’s ability to maintain and regulate balance. Studies on the ECS have shown that apart from being a regulator of homeostasis, the ECS is also responsible for repairing damaged cells and target damaged cells without affecting normal cells, acting as a biological defense system and an important component of our immunity.
Endocannabinoids connect with receptors – called cannabinoid receptors – on the surface of cells. There are two main receptors, CB1 and CB2. Studies show Cannabidiol (CBD) strengthens and improves the efficacy of mitochondria, the power source for every cell in your body
There are two types of receptors – CB1 and CB2 – in the cells of the body. They are abundant in the brain and immune system.
The body produces cannabinoids in a natural process (such as endocannabinoids: anandamide and 2-AG) that share chemical structures similar to cannabinoids derived from plants like CBD.
Adding ECN, rich in Cannabidiol quality, to your daily nutrient intake will enhance your body’s natural ability to heal and function properly, which will result in an overall healthier state. Current studies have shown that ECN has powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, anti-depressant qualities. It is also been used successfully as a seizure treatment, cancer fighter and tumor preventative, sleep aid, neuroprotectant and cognitive enhancer.
ECN also supports healthy heart function, vascular health and gastrointestinal health to name just a few. There is an extraordinarily vast body of scientific research on the broad therapeutic uses of cannabis and particularly of ECN and THC. More evidence exists than can be found on some of the most widely used therapies of conventional medicine.
YES! Not only is it safe, it can be taken by children and animals.
You cannot over consume on CBD, but only small amounts are needed to experience the benefits. Most people report that between 20mg and 60mg per day are effective for most uses. Those with anxiety or chronic pain tend to like more, while those with minor symptoms like muscle spasms report that only a few milligrams works for them. We generally recommend experimenting with different delivery systems and doses until you find what is right for your body.
Cannabinoids are a group of fatty compounds found in hemp but also produced by other plants and the human body. They are the primary chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant. These compounds are key players in normal immune and central nervous system functioning. There are more than 80 identified cannabinoids.
On Feb. 7th 2014 Sec.7606 of The Farm Bill was signed into law allowing the cultivation of hemp with less than 0.3% THC by state departments of agriculture, universities and business entities. The 108th General Assembly then enacted Public Chapter 916 removing hemp from the definition of marijuana in the criminal code and Tennessee began crafting its program for the state. On May 11th 2017 Governor Bill Haslam signed HB1164, which further modified the definition of Industrial hemp to include products made from the plant for ingestion or topical use.

Cannabidiol, is one of over 113 natural cannabinoids and is a non-psychoactive component of the Hemp or Cannabis plant. VEDA ECN contains other non-psychoactive yet medicinal cannabinoids in quantifiable amounts including: Cannabichromene (CBC), Cannabichromene (CBG), Cannabicyclol (CBL), Cannabidivarin (CBDV), and the legal amount of Tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC).

Although CBD has little binding affinity for either of the two cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2), cannabidiol modulates several non-cannabinoid receptors and ion channels. CBD also acts through various receptor-independent pathways—for example, by delaying the “reuptake” of endogenous neurotransmitters (such as anandamide and adenosine) and by enhancing or inhibiting the binding action of certain G-protein coupled receptors.
At high concentrations, CBD directly activates the 5-HT1A (hydroxytryptamine) serotonin receptor, thereby conferring an anti-anxiety effect. This G-coupled protein receptor is implicated in a range of biological and neurological processes, including (but not limited to) anxiety, addiction, appetite, sleep, pain perception, nausea and vomiting.
CBD binds to TRPV1 receptors, which also function as ion channels. TRPV1 is known to mediate pain perception, inflammation and body temperature.
Seed-to-sale is a term reflecting the journey of the product from when it is planted through the journey into your home.
VEDA ECN products are grown, harvested, extracted, processed and formulated entirely by us. From the ground to your hands we are the only ones that handle the product. Since the product never changes hands, we are able to offer the highest quality product without a middle man. This also means that VEDA products can be priced to be accessible to all.
It is impossible to accurately compare CBD products manufactured by different companies due to the variety of factors that affect the effectiveness of the final formula.Starting with the strain of the seed used which causes the makeup of the total cannabinoid mix, there are factors at every phase from growing conditions and extraction process, to mixers and cutting agents with other products to create the final formulation.
To produce isolate extract for VEDA Sport, CBD is isolated into an oil, cooled and then refined to strip out any additional cannabinoids, terpenes, and plant components found in the hemp plant. The final product is a fine white powder that contains around 99% cannabidiol. In this extraction method, the powder or “isolate” results in a single molecular compound of strictly CBD. There are no other molecular compounds of value found in the powder.
Distillation is when the plant is extracted for oils. The properties and components that are part of that – such as terpenes and THC are still existent in its extracted form. The molecules of the “whole plant” remain intact in the processed extracted oil. In this extraction process, there is little to no loss of any of the other compounds that work in tandem with the CBD’s compromised or eliminated through the process, hence allowing for what is called the “full entourage effect,” which is derived from the whole plant extraction method.
